Celebrate the launch of ‘Where’s my Happy Ending’ By Anna Whitehouse and Matt Farquharson a.k.a @mother_pukka & @papa_pukka in association with Real Ale

Maybe you’ve just had a first date with ‘the one’ or maybe you’ve been married for ten years. Either way, it’s hard to know if they’re really meant to be by your side until you both wear dentures.

Anna (@mother_pukka) & Matt (@papa_pukka), journalists and authors of the Sunday Times bestseller Parenting the Sh*t Out of Life, have been together for over ten years. They set out to discover what it takes to make it to forever by travelling the world to seek the answers to our greatest questions about love for their new book: How do you know you’ve got a keeper? Are we better off solo? How long does love last? They ask a former sex-worker and her ex-gigolo husband, celibate monks and free-loving hippies. They ask people who never wanted kids and people who have loads of them. They ask porn-makers and feminist academics, neurologists, psychologists and romance novelists. They ask a whelk fisherman and a lollipop lady. They speak to couples, throuples and singles; gay, straight and anywhere in-between.

And in asking these questions, they are forced to confront their own relationship after a decade of marriage. Through tears, laughter, and one improperly discarded toenail clipping. Join Anna and Matt in the Winchester Room at The Turks Head Twickenham on Tuesday 11th February at 7.00pm for an Anti-Valentines night and an honest, belly-laugh inducing journey of their experiences in love and marriage, social media and small children as they navigate the muddy waters of modern romance and share the answers with YOU! On the night you can enjoy a welcome drink provided by Real Ale as you sit back and discover whether love and relationships could be simpler – or more complex than we think. There will be a Q&A and you’ll have your book signed by Anna and Matt.

A copy of Where’s My Happy Ending? (RRP £14.99) is included in the ticket price with a welcome drink from Real Ale or a non-alcoholic option. Ticket price is £25 plus £1.50 booking fee.

We also have a very limited number of date night tickets which admit two, so you can bring your partner or a friend! Date night tickets are priced at £40 which includes entrance for two, welcome drink for two and one copy of the book.
