WOW! What an amazing kick-start to our new baby, We Got This (Sometimes!) TW. We were full of nerves but the evening was a huge success and it felt great to have the legendary Katie Kirby in ST MARGARETS chatting to a room full of like minded women and men and a bar full of gin selections. What more can you ask for!?
Katie - an outstandingly successful blogger, social media genius, Sunday Times best selling author, stationery designer, greeting card creator, mum of two boys, was refreshingly honest and down to earth, and took us through why she starting writing her blog in the early days, how the first book Hurrah for Gin came about, treated us to a Good Things / Bad Things presentation in which we discovered someone said Katie looked like a shark (?!?!?!), we were introduced to Archie Adams, and discovered parenting gems.
The talented Dawn (@lovemiss_d) took a gorgeous selection of snaps from the evening - which went by in a whirlwind - we had a great time looking through them. Thank you, Dawn!
The lovely Steph Douglas of ‘Don’t Buy Her Flowers’ who lives locally came along to support, The Turks Head staff and venue were superb and Waterstones were on hand selling copies of Hurrah for Gin and The Daily Struggles of Archie Adams Age 2 1/4.
The next day we spent most of the morning on Instagram and Facebook, we loved being tagged in your social media posts, thank you.
A huge thank you to our husbands Nick and Andrew, sister in law Michelle, Sexy Bev (Lyds Mum) and friends Rachel, Helene, Sophie who were all incredible!
We Got This (Sometimes!) is for parents who want to feel inspired, entertained, reassured...just normal, and was set up to help with 'that' turning point when you know life really does need to change, but you don't want to lose you. Speakers from outside the area and inside the area will be hosted, and it will be FUN!
