Norwich: Interior Design Workshop

Lovely to hang out at the Cosy Club yesterday for a gorgeous interior design workshop🤩. Learnt so much from Holly at Salt Interiors from where to get the good inspo from and how to find our style again. Great confidence boosting practical upcycling tips from Todd Designs (pay a visit to his shop on St Augustines St). Quite proud of my wreath too 😍, Victoria at Petite Verte led a great workshop.

Sometimes we all get in a rut and need a little push and yesterday was like having multiple pushes to get that creative / motivation / energy going again.

Huge thanks to the dream team Helen from Instructional Design who organised a beautiful event (put off by the super high prices in London for a similar event, she did it herself!), Holly, Todd, Victoria and Beckie Egan Photography, and everyone who came and got involved, you made it awesome.

Couple of top tips for those who wanted to come but couldn’t!

  • do what makes YOU happy (not what you think your home should look like)

  • if you’ve fallen in love with spendy fabric or wallpaper and can’t use it how you’d like, use it in small ways on cushions, wall hangings, decoupage, you can still have it

  • make a plan, make a list, so when you get out and about you don’t get overwhelmed with aimless browsing

  • make considered choices about your stuff, can you give it another life?

  • use colour in a 60/40/10 ratio

  • build a room round something you love
