What a fabulous night! It was such an enormous pleasure to welcome Katie Kirby to Norwich. Thank you to everyone who came, it was very surreal seeing it all in action. Sally of blog Wife of a Wig Wearer wrote a fab review here!
Local businesses Paradox Living, Palm and Sole, Cocoa May and Waterstones entertained guests, along with a Hurrah for Gin pop up shop run by mums who were wonderfully winging it (no one would have known!). Paradox Living provided the music which was perfect, and David at Open made it pink and twinkly, such a gorgeous venue!
If you were disappointed not to get your hands on some Hurrah for Gin Prints, please visit Katie's Etsy shop here, and for diaries etc, these are on Amazon or you can google for other retailers!
A huge thank you to friends Emma, Leah, Gemma, Lydia (who travelled FAR to come!), Sherelle, Nicki, Suz, Sarah who were all incredible! Charlotte of Emily Gray Photography took some awesome pics, as seen below. Your insta stories and posts are also at the bottom!
Emma took to the stage and almost walked straight off again, 200 people is a lot in real life! We Got This (Sometimes!) is for parents who want to feel inspired, entertained, reassured...just normal, and was set up to help with 'that' turning point when you know life really does need to change, but you don't want to lose you. Speakers from outside the area and inside the area will be hosted, and it will be FUN!
To hear about forthcoming events, please sign up to the mailing list at www.wegotthisco.com/contact. All events will be released to the mailing list 24 hours before social media so you get a chance to get a ticket!
Katie - an outstandingly successful blogger, social media genius, Sunday Times best selling author, stationery designer, greeting card creator, mum of two boys, was refreshingly honest and down to earth, and took us through why she starting writing her blog in the early days, how the first book Hurrah for Gin came about, treated to a Good Things / Bad Things presentation in which we discovered someone said Katie looked like a shark (?!?!?!), we were introduced to Archie Adams, and discovered parenting gems. Guests asked their burning questions, in subjects ranging from poo to mother-in-laws, and Katie then signed lots of lovely books.
It was just brilliant to have so many mums (and a couple of dads) in the same room all looking for the same thing - we HAVE got this (sometimes)!
The below photos will be loaded to Facebook and Instagram :-)
Thanks again and see you soon
