Linkedin Powerhour

NORWICH: Linkedin #PowerHour with Hannah Routledge

When you're a freelancing parent, there are ups and downs. Ups: flexibility, no mad dash to the office, no obligations to colleagues. Downs: not being paid (really), finding work, securing work, doing work amongst poorly children and school holidays. So when you keep hearing that Linkedin is an untapped, free (well in terms of money, not time) platform that you really are not taking advantage of, and then you meet someone who knows ALL about it (and is running a successful business mainly down to it), you put an event together!

Hannah blew our minds with what we could be doing (we are a mix of 14 brilliant female business minds...marketing professionals, photographers, event organisers, clothes designers and more) and did indeed power up our Linkedin knowledge.

And Frankie at Doing it for the Kids was incredible and got me a Freelancer Reward Chart just in time (please check out her Facebook Group if you're a freelancing parent, it's brill). Leah at Roots and Toots won the pack and Kerry at Me, Me, Me won the runners up prize!

If you're keen to get the lo-down, a pdf of the deck is available for Β£5 - please email me and we can organise that. If you'd like one-on-one advice with Hannah (she has proven herself to me, as her tips helped me gain a sponsor and enquiries for my freelance business!) - she is contactable here

HISTORY

Are you a time pressed freelancer, entrepreneur or business ownerπŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™€οΈ? Are you wanting to feel more like 'you got this?'. We Got This (Sometimes!) #PowerHours are short, sharp events that invite local experts to intimate gatherings to give useful advice in specific areas that we know will improve business performance.

The first #PowerHour is about Linkedin. It is underused in almost all industries, and it wasn't until I had a chance chat with Hannah Routledge (one of the mums at school who runs a super successful business) that I started to understand that.

Hannah had just given a Linkedin talk to 400 women at a conference. I did a couple of the things she mentioned which led to a call with a previous client, and an email from a prospective client. Amazing!

What will we cover:

  • How to approach Linkedin and why should you use it
  • Your personal brand and how to write your profile
  • What to post
  • How to connect Linkedin to your business goals
  • An understanding of how to build your network

Come and join us on the mezzanine floor in The Library, Monday 30th April, 19:30. Ticket is Β£10 plus transaction fee. Food and drink can be ordered from the menu throughout the session at your discretion. They do a super yummy and amazing value Prix Fixe 2 course menu for Β£10.95, which I will be partaking in.

As a marketing freelancer and a start up founder, there is so much to learn and stuff changes continually. Podcasts and blog posts are serving me well. However, nothing is as valuable as face to face time with an expert!

These We Got This (Sometimes!) #PowerHours for small businesses will cover super niche business topics like Media Relations + Blogger Outreach, Facebook, Instagram, E-mail Marketing, Accounts, Trade Shows and more.

I know these #PowerHour events won't be for everyone on the mailing list! If you'd like to be kept up to speed on these business events, please sign up to a new list by selecting the checkbox at the bottom on this page or just email me and I will add you!
